The dogs that live next to us have been posturing to attack my dog. i am sick of it!

I have tolerated my neighbor's two dogs doing this for so freaking long and tonight I blew a gasket. Their Border Collie has bit Bandit before (seems my poor darn friendly sweeties who greet other dogs really nicely always meet the jerkwads) and their little froo froo dog has come close. Tonight there was a group of 5 people standing and chatting. A sheltie was off lead and so was the froo froo dog. The Border Collie was in their backyard. Seeing as the Border Collie always starts it I thought "Phewww I am going to be able to walk by in peace now!" The Sheltie's owner calls out "Are they friendly?" and I said "Yeah but they're being trained right now." Then the dogs come up anyways to sniff. The Sheltie is timid but she is wagging her tail and the boys take a sniff. Then the stupid idiot froo froo dog lunges at them. Well I have had enough of them and their stupid off leash dogs. I stepped forward yelling "NO YOU WILL NOT DO THAT TO MY DOGS YOU STUPID MUTT" and walked into him threatening to kick the little brute.

AND YOU KNOW WHT THEY HAD TO SAY TO ALL OF THAT?
"He's old."

I don't give a hoot if he's 164. He will not bully my dogs anymore.

How would you have dealt with that?

If your dog is bitten again there is a relativley easy thing you should do. Call your local animal enforcement office, if you don't know the # usually the law enforcment dispatcher can get you the number.
