Question Can you make money with eBay?

I'm wondering if you can still make money with eBay? I used to make a living with eBay, but that was a long time ago. I have heard that eBay has increased their fees, and PayPal fees, a lot, so is it still possible to really do well with eBay?

Also, for any of you that are eBay sellers, what kinds of profit margins are you seeing? Has the ROI fallen a lot? I have heard that many sellers are having to live off of a very thin profit margin now. A lot of them simply push for volume. That's cool, but how low of a profit margin are we talking about?

Can anyone give me any hints? You doing ok with eBay still? Is the online auction market still hot, or is it slowing down for you?

I already make a killing with Google, but I'm just not sure about the online auctions market.

Thanks!!

George

Ebay has gotten pretty tough for me George. I have been an eBay seller for about 7 years now. I can tell you that the online income game with eBay has really changed a lot over the last few years. The money was just sooooo easy years ago. Not now. Let me try to hit a few of your questions:

Yep, still making money online with eBay, but not easily anymore.

The eBay and Paypal fees have increased quite a bit.

To do well with eBay you really have to move some volume now. You need to tap in to some drop shippers that everyone else isn't using. In other words, you have to sell XX when everyone else is selling YY. Does that make sense?

My margins have fallen by a good 70%. I have made up for that by moving more volume. Actually I make about 3 times as much as I did 3 years ago, but I move 30 times as many products to do it. At least!!

It's still hot, but you have to have your act together. A lot of people still want to jump into eBay, but they don't have a chance without a lot of knowledge or a seriously good plan. I would not recommend trying eBay for a living now unless you are willing to invest a lot of time and cash. If you want to give it a try for a few bucks, you will be ok, but don't expect to get rich with eBay unless you are really serious about it.

I hope this helps man. Hit me with a pm if you want a few eBay tips that I don't really want to spread here.

ebay is a very difficult market. Now ebay with there rule changes have made it significantly more easier for buyers to scam sellers as sellers have no way to leave negative feedback anymore.
