I often get asked when to start paper or potty training a puppy. I start mine when they are walking well and starting to get around. I can usually catch them starting to squat and put them on the paper and pet them and encourage them until they go. It usually does not take long for them to figure out what they are supposed to do. It does take consistency though. I am here 24/7 most of the time so I have the time to do this.
I also start letting them go out with mom on potty breaks after they have had their first set of shots. They catch on to what mom does and it goes a long way in training.
So what methods do you use?
