My dog knows the standard sit, stay, down, shake and I can leave a bone on his nose until he says ok.

What tricks do your animals know?

My dog named iMac knows how to catch a ball, sit, stay and lie down. I am planning to add his tricks this coming days. It is amazing to see other dogs do several unique tricks.

Well my dog knows all the routine tricks, I want to teach him how to fetch me my beer can from the refrigerator. It would be an awesome trick

My dog knows the usual tricks:sit, stand, lie down, shake, stay, fetch(he usually runs after anything we throw).

I would love to teach him how to carry stuff for me, like if I need to open the door and I have lots of plastic bags in tow maybe he could bring two of the bags for me haha.

Getting stuff for me would be lovely as well.

I want my dog to learn how to catch a frisbee!! Does anyone know how to teach a dog to do that?

In my experience, most dogs are capable of a broad range of tricks and tasks. More than many people think. Your dog is very smart and capable. It just takes a little bit of time and work to make it happen.

Most dogs can learn sit, stay, fetch, down, come in under a month. Then the standard time to really integrate a new trick is 2-3 months, depending on how much time you put into it.

Chase - my black lab - for example, learned play dead in about 8 weeks.
