| My poor dog broke her tooth. I have done what the vet said to do, but I am worried. Some of you may remember a while ago when I posted about Morgan breaking a tooth. I called on his vet, and I was told to keep an eye on it for infection, but that it would most likely fall out on its own. So I have been keeping a very close watch on that broken baby tooth for several weeks now. It hasn't been bothering him. There has been no redness or swelling of his gums. No bad breath. However, today when I checked I noticed that the adult tooth is starting to poke through just in front of the broken one, and the broken tooth still isn't showing even a hint of a wiggle. He already has an appointment scheduled next week, but it looks like I am going to be calling the vet again tomorrow. Hopefully, they can squeeze him in first thing in the morning to take a look. We are leaving for the weekend tomorrow afternoon, and I am supposed to be dropping him off with our pet-sitter in the morning. *sigh* I am really worried over this. I feel like such a bad mommy that the problem has gotten to this point. :( |
