Question Raw Dog Food

I have a question about feeding your dog raw food, or raw dog food I guess. I know for a fact that our puppy just loves anything that is raw, and of course we love to make our puppy happy. What worries me about this is when it comes to feeding her chicken or steak. I realize that dogs in the wild only eat raw meat, but is it really safe to feed a dog raw meat? If humans can get diseases such as salmonella from raw poultry, couldn't a dog also get sick from it???

What do you think? Is it safe to feed raw dog food? Do you do it sometimes? Does it worry you at all?

It worries me a lot.
Raw food is a house for micro-organisms and you can never see your pets safe with this.
Boil it and kill the microbes, that's the safest thing to do.

Or i have seen some pet shops selling cold sterilized raw food which you can go for to keep your dog safe!

Yet because of the problems associated with processed commercial kibbled food, many dog owners are now feeding a raw food diet to their companion pets.

Raw food diets have been around long enough that we have been able to see the harm they are doing to many domesticated dogs.

However, A raw diet provides a range of benefits that commercial dog diets can never hope to even closely match.

These benefits include:

1. no doggy odour
2. naturally cleans teeth - no need for toothbrushes, de-scaling jobs, or gum disease
3. the time it takes for a dog to chew a raw meaty bones give their stomach adequate time to get the acids moving
4. much less stools produced - and they are firm, and turn chalky after a couple of days
5. decreased or non-existant vet bills (your dogs are healthier!)
6. less cost for dog food - commercial dog foods are ludicriously expensive
7. mirrors what a dog would be getting in the wild - and certainly even the modern day dog has a digestive tract exactly the same as a wolf
8. puppies develop at a more appropriate rate - and quick growth spurts are avoided. A GOOD breeder will want to stop fast growth in any pup.
9. the ripping and chewing involved in eating raw meaty bones develops the jaw, neck, and shoulder muscle.
