| A stray dog near my neighbourhood gave birth to six litters. A lady keeps feeding them cow milk. I don't know much but i think its not a good idea since the solute load of the cow milk on the kidneys of these pups would increase. This would lead to improper functioning of the kidneys. Am i thinking correctly |

| My vet recommends not giving any dog cows milk. I have given some pups watered down evaporated milk with some sugar to get them over a spell when they could not nurse. Its best to give pups goats milk if you give them anything other than mom's milk as its very easily digestible. |

| For suckling babies and puppies, nothing is better than mothers milk. Cows milk also affects the digestive properties of animals, especially dogs. Heated milk with considerable amount of water in it would be better. But never give the raw thick milk as it is not at all good for any age of dogs.

| I grew up drinking and loving cow’s milk. As I grew older and more health conscious I changed from whole milk to low fat milk thinking I was doing my body good. Milk is calcium rich; most people don’t realize it is also phosphorous rich. Phosphorus combines with calcium in the intestines and prevents the calcium in milk from being absorbed. ---------------------- Shakira Janet ![]() Guaranteed ROI |
