Default Pet Allergies

I adopted my dog from the local Animal Control facility. They said he had some allergies to certain food products - but the vet that I took him to does not think this is correct.

Is it important enough to seek a second oppinion or should I be fine?

I think it would be better to get a second opinion just to be sure.

Dogs are sensitive to some types or kinds of food and it's better to be sure if he/she really is really allergic to something. It's better to be safe than sorry.
