What is the most that you have ever paid on a vet bill for your cat? I'm talking about one visit to the veterinarian, not a series of vet visits.

I think the most expensive vet visit we ever had for a cat was for Puffy when he was maybe 3 years old. Puffy, our very old cat now, was a wild little kitty. For some reason Puffy just loved to fight dogs. He wasn't one of those cats that backs down from a good fight with a dog. Puffy will stand his ground to the point of actually wanting to scrap with a puppy!

So many moons ago, Puffy decided to get into a fight with a really big dog. I never saw all of the dog, but I did see this big, fat dog that looked like a bulldog running down our driveway. I knew from all of the noise that it was a good fight, but I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw Puffy. The poor little kitty had blood all over him, and he was laying still as could be on the grass in our back yard. I scooped poor Puffy up, grabbed the keys, and drove like a mad man to the vet's office.

To make a long story short, the vet had to stitch Puffy up, put him on some antibiotics, and keep him for a few days for observations. Puffy made it just fine, thank God, and we just couldn't wait to take our kitty back home.

The final veterinarian bill came to about $300 I believe, give or take a few bucks. Compared to dogs, health care for cats is so much less expensive. I have spent way more on our puppies, but that was the most expensive veterinarian bill we have ever had for a cat.

The most I ever spent on a vet bill for our cats was about $80. We really try to avoid the vet, if at all possible.
