Thumbs up Is Meow Mix A Bad Cat Food?

We have tried just about every kind of cat food, but our cats just love the original Meow Mix. I would guess that we have tried 50 other brands and types of cat food over the years, but they will always walk away from it unless it's original Meow Mix.

I still wonder if Meow Mix is a bad cat food? Is it unhealthy for our cats to eat? With all of the talk about natural and organic cat food these days, am I hurting my cats by feeding them the original Meow Mix?

For a little background, we have two cats named Puffy and Fluffy. Puffy is an old cat that we found after he was abandoned many years ago. Fluffy is a bit younger girl cat that was abused by her previous owner until we adopted her a year ago. Both of these cats are very healthy, happy, and fairly active (given their ages).

What do you think? Is Meow Mix unhealthy? Are we hurting our kitties by feeding it to them? Is Meow Mix a bad cat food, and are we bad parents for giving in to their desires for it?

Meow Mix is fine. All cat foods are fine, if given in moderation.

I have to disagree. I used to feed meow mix to my cat and he developed all kinds of problems. It contains all corn and by-products and is preserved with harmful cancer causing chemicals. cat food doesn't have to be "organic" to be good quality but cats are CARNIVOURS and corn is not meat. Look for a food with at least 3 named meats for the first ingredients and no BHA/BHT.

What kind of problems did your cat develop from Meow Mix? Very interesting. I hope your kitty is OK now.

Meow mix is fine to feed if your cat is not hesitating to have it. But still before introducing a new food to a cat, you should first check his/her health conditions as these pets are susceptible to any side effects due to it.

Still coming back to Meow mix, i suggest the dry mix is better than the wet one.

I don't think Meow Mix is a bad food for your cats. My cats would never eat it, but I think cats like to stick with whatever food they started eating when they were young. Mine would never eat Friskies either.

If your cats appear healthy and are thriving on it, then it must be doing them good!
