Does anyone know if cat breeders are licensed in a state? Do breeders of cats have to get a license to operate? From everything that I have found so far, there are no particular licensing requirements. Yes, all businesses have to have a business permit, but I can't find anything about cat breeding permits.

Any idea guys? I want an answer to this before I think about setting up my own shop.

Don't quote me, but I don't think that cat breeders have to be licensed. I've never heard of it. They probably should be though.
