Default Birds as Pets

I do love birds, I mean it but I don't have birds at home. My reason of not having a bird as a pet at home because at the back of my head, they will never be happy being in a cage. They are made to fly the great skies and I will not stop them from doing that by putting them in the cage of my house.

I have no birds in a closed cage, as i don't like to see them cry to get out of it. Rather, there are many pigeons and parrots in our balcony(me staying at the top floor of the apartments) and they visit my place everyday and i feed them with grains and chillies to parrots.

They can not be called specifically as my pets but i still treat them as my own pets and they don't scare and run away when i go near to them to place the food. Infact, they act like pets and remain close to me.

I know what you mean, Patty. It does seem like caged birds are always crying, doesn't it? I've never had a pet bird, but we enjoy watching all the wild birds that come to our bird feeder out back.

I think the blue jay is my favorite. Do you have a favorite?

Yes, MissMau that is why I don't like to have one at home. Since I do not know so much about bird, I go for parrot. I like seeing them at home, not it the cage but walking in and out of the house

Caging birds is one of the most inhuman and uncivilised form of cruelty.
Birds are meant to fly and i think governments should do away with keepin birds in pets.
I am a wildlife lover and this is where i love to see birds....in the wild
