Is it possible that Obama's camp, or the Democratic party itself, created the Cindy McCain affair rumors? It's obvious that an affair between Senator John McCain's wife and a DUI attorney from Maryland is a complete hoax/ lie. At best this was a silly prank by some kids with too much time on their hands. At worst these McCain affair rumors were deliberately created by someone within the Democratic party to sabotage the McCain presidential run.

I know that this sounds like a political conspiracy theory, but it isn't. This who issue came up last night when someone manipulated search queries to Google so as to show that the most popular term being searched across the world was "Cindy McCain affair". Of course Cindy McCain was not having an affair with anyone, but bloggers picked up on this term being searched on Google and ran with a story to make since of it. As rumors on the internet tend to spread quickly, this Cindy McCain adultery rumor went everywhere very quickly, including on this forum.

I'm not saying that Obama was in on this fake McCain scandal. Actually, I would never believe that he would do something like this. But someone is responsible, and it was a deliberate attempt to effect the outcome of the 2008 US presidential elections.
